It would seem as though Chongqing is missing a weekly Pub Quiz, and so I’ve decided to organize one myself. A Taste of Singapore restaurant in Shapingba (directions below) graciously granted me access to their bar and restaurant (and microphone), as well as Singapore gift certificates to use as prizes. Our first quiz will be this Tuesday, November 10th, at around 8:15. Depending on how successful it is, this should hopefully be a weekly event.
For anyone not familiar with the idea of a Pub Quiz, friends and knowledgeable strangers gather together in small teams, pitting their trivia skills against one another while generally having a pretty good time. We’ll have 50 questions (as well as a few other means of getting points) each week on a wide variety of topics. Despite our being in China, questions and answers will be delivered in English.
Bring yourselves, your arsenal of useless knowledge and any friends you can drag along — It’s free and should be a great time!
