Pet Regulation in Chengdu:
Do I have to leash/muzzle my pet?
You will not see that many people walking their pet with leashes or muzzles in Chengdu, although the law states pets shall have leashes.
Can I walk my pet anywhere?
If there is no sign forbidding pets in a specific area, then you can. There will not be many places showing such signs anyway but if a policeman/security guard says you cannot take your pets somewhere, then you’d better obey him/her.

Do I have to tell my landlord that I own a pet?
Landlords can forbid you to bring your pet indoors. The best thing is to discuss it with your landlord before renting a house. If the landlord agrees, then we suggest that you ask him to add it to your renting contract.

Where can I buy food and other stuff for my pet?
At the Pet Harmonious hospital: there you will find adapted food, leashes, brushes, toys, washing products…
For regular food you can go to any supermarket as well as in QingShiQiao 青石桥.
Shiling十陵 and JiTouZhen机投镇: these two markets are located in the Chengdu suburbs and are actually the biggest ones around Chengdu.
