Sichuan University Huaxi Clinical Medical College or Huaxi Hospital was entitled grade A hospital by the Ministry of Public Health of China in 1990. Huaxi Hospital consists of 4300 beds, 36 clinical departments and 15 medical practice departments in the West China Hospital of Sichuan University. Over 6000 people work here, among them 550 doctors and associated professors. The doctors there provide services especially for foreigners.
With the goal of providing good care and excellent service for their patients, the hospital set up the Senior Experts Consulting Center, a special walk-in clinic open 24/7. In order to meet the specific needs of the public, they also opened a Community Health Center, Medical Center for Tibetans and Golden Card Hospital.
