The lack of good parks in China probably hasn’t slipped you. It might takes a few hours if you want to get to first quiet park. This all will change in Chengdu since a new park in is expected to open in July 2010 in the city. It will be located at Chengdu’s former Mengzhuiwan Amusment Park in the Chenghua Disctrict. It will cover an area approx. 100.000 square meters. It will still keep some of its old features of the amusement park, such as the rollercoaster, though it will not be operational. The area currently already has over 7.500 trees and more trees will be planted. The park will also have a few facilities such as restrooms, benches and food, drink and newspaper stands.
