Japan-based Nomura Research Institute, Asia’s biggest IT consulting firm, will locate its Dalian branch in Dalian Software Park on Tuesday, stepping up the heated campaign to build a financial center in Dalian.
Nomura Research is a world-renowned leading think-tank and systems integrator in Japan with overseas branches in New York, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, to name just a few.
Dalian’s mayor said the main task of the Dalian branch is to provide financial outsourcing services such as information and data processing and other information services, tailored to the needs and strategic orientation of Dalian industrial development.
As the financial outsourcing market continues growing, the Dalian branch will focus in developing such businesses in Japan and China, said Akihisa. The number of employees is planned to reach one thousand to lead in Dalian’s high-end service outsourcing.
Dalian’s high-end financial service outsourcing has begun to increase in scale in Dalian’s Hi-tech Industrial zone, which is already home to more than 30 financial service enterprises, including Ernst & Young World Business Service Centre, Citibank Data Processing Centre and Technical Assistance Centre, HP Dalian Service Centre and Japan Softbank Payment and Account Centre.
